DSI Client Solutions Highly Rated in Performance Comparisons.

June 13, 2006 (Cork, Ireland)—The leading provider of software development and Internet solutions, DeCare Systems Ireland (DSI), announced today independent performance reviews of two DSI client solutions. Featuring in Gomez’s comparison of the web’s 50 largest retailers was long term DSI client Avon - the worlds leading direct seller of beauty and cosmetics products. While in a separate review, leading fine foods and gifts purveyor, Figis.com featured in a comparative analysis of 19 major B2C e-commerce websites by the University of Wisconsin E-Business Consortium.

In April, Gomez Inc. compared the web’s 50 largest retailers on consistency and variability and assigned each retailer a specific rating. Among the retailers receiving a rating of “excellent” for their performance was Avon’s award winning site. Avon’s response and accessibility time was key to achieving an overall ranking of seventh in the web’s 50 largest retailers. Other high performing sites included: Apple, Dell, Amazon.com, J.C. Penney, Office Depot, Nordstrom, Sears, Eddie Bauer, Toys “R” Us and Wal-Mart.

The University of Wisconsin’s analysis of major B2C e-commerce websites aimed to gain insight into emerging standard practices for B2C website design and user experience. Figis was one of 19 sites chosen and compares favourably to heavyweight global eCommerce players such as eBay, Amazon, TJMaxx, Target and Walmart. The DSI built solution was analysed in terms of its navigation, layout, shopping cart and checkout processes and performed impressively in accordance with best practice benchmarks. This review will be used to help companies assess and improve their current website design.
