DSI Support IT@Corks Java Conference

renowned Java experts are set to visit Cork for a half-day
conference hosted by IT@Cork,
the Cork network for IT professionals. The event, taking place
at 2pm on Tuesday Oct 3rd at the Radisson Hotel, Cork, is
sponsored by Horizon Open Systems and Sun Microsystems, and
is supported by IT@Cork member company DeCare Systems Ireland
(DSI).
Simon
Ritter of Sun Microsystems and Adrian
Colyer from Interface21 will address the Java community
on whats happening with Java
6, Spring and AOP. Simon is a Java Technology Evangelist
at Sun Microsystems and specialises in emerging technologies
including grid computing, Auto-ID, robotics and wearable computing.
He will present Java SE and Web Services/SOA.
Adrian Colyer is the leader of the AspectJ open source project
and a well-known industry expert on the topic of aspect-oriented
programming (AOP). His presentation will discuss Simplifying
Enterprise Application Development with Spring 2.0 and AOP.
As one of the supporting member companies
for the event, DSI aim to raise the awareness of Spring in
other organisations after successfully adopting the Spring
Framework for Java/J2EE development in a number of large-scale
projects. The Spring Framework is now the backbone of
all DSI projects and is considered worldwide as an ideal basis
for standardised software development. At the forefront of
