DSI releases Community Edition of CPM Toolkit
The CPM Toolkit, which is integrated with Quest Software's Java profiler JProbe, introduces continuous performance management into a continuous integration environment. The CPM Toolkit CE is being supported by both DSI and Quest, and users can receive support in the CPM Toolkit Community forum.
The CPM Toolkit CE provides the functionality as laid out in Quest Software’s series of whitepapers on continuous performance management. It automates the collection of code performance, code coverage and heap usage data, enabling users to focus effort in tracing measurable code defects and reduce time spent preventing premature optimisation. |

The Toolkit enables users to generate an execution profile of a Java application under development. This profile is derived from the performance related data collected through the execution of unit tests at routine points during the development lifecycle. By applying statistical analysis to this execution profile, performance trending can be observed, allowing for easy identification of the origin points of significant deviations in code performance or heap usage.
Anyone concerned with Java software development - from software engineers, performance architects to projects managers, are invited to download the CPM Toolkit CE and get working immediately. The full CPM Toolkit contains significant extra functionality such as the Graphical User Interface, automated alert notification generation and the ability to view performance trending. You can have these features and more in the full version of the CPM Toolkit by taking part in the CPM Toolkit Early Access Program. To do so, go to Quest Software or contact DSI and find out more.
