Enhanced
Insurance Administration System Goes Live for Leading US Insurer

Ireland) December 20th, 2006 — DeCare Systems Ireland (DSI),
DeCare Systems Ireland (DSI),
a leading provider of software development and Internet solutions,
announced today the implementation of comprehensive enhancements
to the Insurance administration system for a leading US dental
benefits company. The Delta Dental Plans Association member
is an industry leader with more than fifty years of claims
and benefit management experience, delivering dental care
to more than two million people through employer-sponsored
programs.
This complex project required DSI to work
in a multi-track manner to complete the two major development
modules, which collectively impact on a number of stakeholders
across various disciplines including Group Administration,
Subscriber Maintenance, Group Database Management, Finance,
Operations and Marketing.
The additions to this DSI designed and developed
dental insurance application suite allows for significant
operational efficiencies and improved responsiveness to their
customers. They include:
· The rewrite of an existing ASP/COM+
application using newer .Net technologies – the application
is used to maintain group, member, claim security and financial
data, thus improving screen designs, customer service support,
efficiency of business usage and enhancing security in compliance
with external audit requirements and internal policies.
· Additional functionality was added
to their existing health portal with self-service capabilities
enhancing end-user service delivery and reducing both time
and costs for the Insurer. The additions are based on both
Microsoft traditional and .Net technologies.
DSI has provided this US based Insurer
with high quality technical and business expertise since 2002,
building on years of successful implementations and innovations.
DSI’s market presence as a healthcare solution provider
has never been so strong as they currently build dental systems
for four of the ten largest Delta Dental Plans. The New Year
will see DSI completing Phase 2 requirements of a national
healthcare provider system for a leading network of healthcare
insurers in the US, as well as a string of other high profile
healthcare solution implementations.
