DSI and IT@Cork Host Service Oriented Architecture Event.

In association with DeCare Systems Ireland (DSI), IT@Cork,
the Cork Network for IT professionals will host a SOA (Service
Oriented Architecture) event at 6pm on Wednesday 22nd February
at the National Software Centre in Mahon, Cork.
In sponsoring this event, DSI aim to raise
the awareness of SOAs impact on and benefits to the
industry aswell as covering practical security coding implementations.
DSI has spent many years designing and implementing large-scale
applications for the Retail and Health
Care industry and has recently been commissioned by one
of the worlds leading on-line
travel companies to implement a Service Orientated Architecture
toolkit to address their current and future needs.
Three presenters from DSI will cover the following areas
of SOA:
"What is SOA? Why do we need SOA? Where is SOA today? "
Presented by Eamonn Franklin - Eamonn
is the Software Development Manager, responsible for all development
activities within DSI including Java
and .NET.
"Service Orientation. Do we know
what it means and can we keep it simple? "
Presented by Yagiz Erkan - Yagiz Erkan
is the Chief Architect, responsible for driving the technical
decision making process and the implementation of all things
Java for DSI.
"Web Services Security. Let's talk implementations!"
Presented by Anthony Geoghegan - Anthony is a Framework Architect, responsible for the investigation, selection and implementation of Java frameworks within DSI.
